POSITION: Massage Therapist

DEPARTMENT: Fitness, Health and Wellness

PRIORITY REVIEW: Application review begins August 15

JOB SUMMARY:

Consistently create and deliver to clients one-on-one safe and effective therapeutic body-work to fit their needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and provide a custom therapeutic massage experience for all clients
• Maintain clean and organized space that is calming and inviting for clients
• Maintain accurate paperwork for all clients, sessions, and payments in conjunction with the Front Desk Attendant and Wellness and Outreach Coordinator
• Communicate any concerns or problems with Wellness and Outreach Coordinator and/or Director
• Participate in department wellness events as needed
• Maintain a desire for continual education, enhancement of knowledge and improvement
• Maintain professional standards among clients
  • These standards include punctuality, proper attire, and the creation and maintenance of a friendly, safe and motivating training relationship
  • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Posses outstanding customer service skills
    • Excel at building relationships with a variety of individuals
    • Have a positive attitude that contributes to a positive team culture
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Possess a valid Massage Therapist license in the state of North Carolina
      
      Well-skilled professional who has received massage training from an accredited/approved massage program
      
      Current CPR/AED certification
      • REPORTS TO: Wellness and Outreach Coordinator
      • SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibilities
